ABOUT ME

What's up ya'll? I am a half Chinese, Southern United States-raised 20 year old attending college at the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There I am entering my Junior year and have almost completed my Political Science major. I have traveled a fair amount, and much more than the average American, but possibly not as much as the average European.

While I would be interested in visiting other destinations in the future, I am currently looking for lodging in the EARLY SUMMER (May) in Germany, Spain, and perhaps Italy or France.

I will be traveling with my best friend, a 20 year old attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as a Pre-Medicine major. Roman's profile is rtg88.

In Europe, I have visited - for various reasons such as pleasure or spiritual - Dublin, Glendalough, London, Oxford, Paris, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Oslo, and Trondheim.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to experience as much as I can, provided I feel that it will be constructive. While at school, I declined the opportunity to double major so that I could take a much broader spectrum of classes in order to engage my interests in as many fields as possible. I believe this is the way to improving myself as a person.

I can hold a conversation with almost anyone about almost anything. Give it a try! If I can't, I will listen and learn so that I may later be able to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this site and what it does so I am somewhat skeptical about it. However, a positive experience with it will encourage me to help anyone I can who is traveling through my area. Once I feel I can trust a system, I give back to it as much as I can. So help CS2 by helping me out!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked the Grand Canyon, swam in the Caribbean, meditated in the Irish countryside, eaten in a pub built in the 1400s, seen over 20 Major League Baseball games live, walked through Muir Woods Redwood Forest, built houses on the Lakota American Indian reservation in South Dakota, jaywalked on the Place de l'Étoile, been swept away in a random Peace Rally in Frankfurt, climbed to the top of the ski jump from the Oslo Winter Olympics, eaten an 8 pound burrito, caught a rock while trying to fly fish (?????!!), seen many plays on Broadway, eaten shark in Canada, and slept for 18 hours after being awake for 24 while trying to get home from London after a military lockdown at Heathrow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn anything I can about customs, language, sports, community, family, anything.

I can teach about all of the above from the Southern American viewpoint if anyone is interested. I am also half Chinese, so I know a fair bit about the oddity that is Chinese-American life.
