ABOUT ME
Update! My wife and I have recently moved to Lexington, KY and purchased a home last September, 2015 and are now in a place where we can possibly accept guests in the bus, which made it safely from Duluth, GA to Lexington, KY last Fall! Excited to support young travelers again... traveling is and always been a passion of mine, and I am glad for the opportunity to give!
October 2006 - October 2007 I spent on the road on the Professional Tennis Satellite Tour. I had my home base set up in Charlotte, NC until January 2008 when I moved to Atlanta for work. That is where I am now and will be indefinitely, as I purchased my first immovable home here in July 2009. My couch isn't anything like you might expect. It is in my school bus/veggie conversion RV that I purchased mid-2008, and lived out of for seven months while working, paying off debt, and saving to by my immovable home. I now live in Duluth, about 30 minutes Northeast of Atlanta. I would love to take in as many couchsurfers as would like to stay in my wonderful school bus! :)
I am also a professional bagpiper. I play gigs at pubs, weddings, birthdays, funerals, etc. In 2007 I traveled mostly in a big old white & green van (www.feedthevan.com.) I still own that van, but it is for sale now. I keep a blog of my journeys at http://tennispiper.blogspot.com.
I am originally from Groveport, Ohio and I have three older brothers. I graduated from Queens University of Charlotte in May, 2005 and I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia.
I love meeting people and traveling, so this site has been a blessing to me and right down my alley. I have nothing but great experiences to show from the wide world of Couchsurfing!
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a Christian man.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I have told a ton of my friends about this site already. I heard about it through my cousin, who travels a lot as well. I have stayed with over a half dozen hosts and shared a drink with a few just over this past year. I plan on many more great experiences from this site to come...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed on many couches in my days, especially in 2007. It all started on the first leg of my tour in January '07 when my cousin David told me about this incredible site. I have since stayed with at least 8 different people and shared a drink with 3 or so. I have also begun attending local CS Meetups with other like-hearted people. All have been great, enlightening experiences and again I hope for many more to come...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd have to say playing the bagpipes on the beach of Praiano, Italy was the most amazing experience I have had. The feeling was surreal, playing as the sun was going down into the Tyrrhenian Sea. The waves were crashing hard into the rocks and cliffs and the sound of the pipes echoed off the cliffs. It was the closest I've been to Heaven.
