Overview
About Me
I would love being a traveler instead of a tourist. To me, a trip is defined as a new chapter of my life journey to know myself better and to have more understanding on different cultures, traditions, languages etc.
I went on a gap year in the United States of America and it totally changed my life! I've made my decision to join Teach For Malaysia (please Google if you don't know) and I'm now working as a fellow in a national secondary school to fight for education equity (I can't accept guest due to the intensive training).
CURRENT MISSION
Make impact on school children and social development!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get knowledge about cultures and traditions etc. of people from different places through a more pragmatic platform. Of course, it is always better to get to know more friends around the world!
Interests
I love to take photos but I am not a veteran photographer.
I love travelling but I am not an experienced traveler.
I love to play badminton but I am not an expert player.
All I have in me is -
the enthusiasm to learn,
the eagerness to embrace and
the heart to love!
- photography
- traveling
- badminton
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Checked my life bucket list!
1. Went bald for good cause ( joined Hair for Hope Singapore to support children who are suffering from cancer)
2. Tried 'Work Exchange' alone in Taiwan
3. Went on a gap year alone in the States
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Malaysian Chinese. Basically, I can speak languages like Chinese, Manglish, Singlish (you can google these terms XD) , Malay, dialect languages like Hokkien and Cantonese etc. And yeah, trust me, Malaysian Chinese is always a fast learner in language (it's because of our environment, I guess). Hence, I would love to learn different languages from you guys, and of course, I don't mind to learn any other skills like cooking in which I am really lousy. Besides, it is a good idea if we can exchange our stories about travel, study and life etc. The sharing part is always the combination of teach and learn, i guess.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It can be Malaysian (i.e. Chinese, Malay, Indian) cultures and traditions; my own travel experiences etc.
