About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have loads and loads of fun and meet as many wonderful people as possible.

ABOUT ME

Oh who am I, good question.. Well, I have a great respect for other people and other cultures, and I believe that, at least for me, the greatest gifts you get in life are the relationships and experiences you have with the people you meet along your way. It enriches you in ways not many other things can.

I am not very good at staying in the same place for very long (as in many years), which is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in that it has given me the opportunity to meet amazing people and make friends in many parts of the world, a curse in that it's hard for me to imagine ever being able to settle down for good. Either way I have come to the conclusion that I'd better just make the best of it while I can, and travel as much as possible while I still love it.

This tendency is also present in most other aspects of my life. I love to start something new, to learn a new skill or art, but I find it hard to truly stay with the same thing for many years. Probably though this is just due to a lack of self-discipline.

Anyway, I am a kind, fun loving, happy person who loves to share and to experience. Also, I love impulsiveness!

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I somehow believe (although I can't be sure) that in all eternity I only have this one chance to live as the conscious being I currently am, and so I want to try my best to make as much as possible of the limited time I have been given. My experience has taught me that having fun and helping others (in no particular order) are the most important things for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surf and host all I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well so far only a few, but what experiences! The amazing thing about couchsurfing is that I can go to a place to which I am a complete stranger and be taken care of by local people! I cannot imagine a better way to experience a new place. It gives me faith in human kind that this is actually possible, that people still possess the ability to trust each other enough to open their lives to each other in this way. I think it is beautiful!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fallen in love.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can share experiences of the world seen from the eyes of a happy and slightly confused Norwegian. I can teach you how to say "I love you" in Norwegian so that the day you meet the love of your life, should the person happen to be Norwegian, you can tell her or him in their own language. I can teach you how to make meatballs, pizza and/or avocado salad the Thomas way. Also, I might be able to fix your computer.

If you're German or Spanish, but speak English, then I would love for you to speak as much as possible in your mother tongue so that I can get some exercise in it.
