About Me

Hey there,

I'm easy-going, adaptable, and I focus on enjoying all aspects of life. I appreciate the small details in life and i'm easy to please (some good food, some thoughtful conversation, some laughs all sound good to me!). I consciously try to learn something new everyday to constantly improve and progress, and I believe that we (as humans) can never stop learning in life - so I try to learn from everyone I meet and every experience I have. I tend to reflect quite a bit to reminding myself what I've learned and how I can improve, and express my gratitude for what I have and have had the opportunity to experience in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

- As of March 15th 2020 - Currently looking for couches/floors to crash on in Montreal from March 15th to March 21st; there was a threat of danger in my place of living that required me to leave, and in need of somewhere to stay until I can get a new place. Reached out to some friends in the city who could let me stay with them but they left town because their university classes were cancelled.

- In general, I had received a recommendation from an Australian roommate I had studying in Spain two years ago to join - as it's a great way meet new people, learn from different experiences and perspectives, and make friendships with people from all over the world.

- Awaiting confirmation of new living arrangements, however I'm open to hosting guests visiting Montreal or wherever I move for the short and long-term. I lived in Madrid for 4 months last September to December year, Pamplona for 6 months two years ago, so I speak some Spanish and

and I'm strongly considering returning to Spain as well as moving to Colombia (to discover my heritage and teach), The Netherlands, China, Korea, Japan and more

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Been a hip hop/rap head since I was 5 (90s to today); enjoy discovering new music and artists from all genres. I tend to continue out of habit but I've discovered I also enjoy r&b, alternative, indie pop, rock, and EDM (techno, house, deep house)

Movies - Haven't spent a lot of time watching a lot of movies so I'm open to watching any suggestions or recommendations you have. Favourite movie I think ever is Django Unchained by Quentin Tarantino. Generally though comedy, action, drama, thriller (depending on how scary haha), documentaries

Books - Again, haven't read many books as I've been focused on learning how to produce music in really all of my spare time (I have a list of books to read) - again any suggestions you have I will definitely check out the page summaries (at minimum)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rather than judge something I've done as "amazing" or "the best", I think it would be better to talk about things each person were happy to have done or accomplished something we didn't expect to, and then let the other person have the opinion that they choose.

Something I've done that I was astonished was going snowboarding in the Pyrenees mountains after 7 years without snowboarding (so much powder snow that my legs were aching for 9 days after)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - Can teach you how to use music production software FL Studio 11

Learn - I love to learn new things through sharing of experiences, thought and reflection - so conversation about a broad variety of topics is welcomed (global current events, macroeconomics, to preferred regional style of pizza, dough type, cooking vessel preference, etc.)

Share - Some recipes of food and cooking techniques I've learned from my childhood and my experiences living in Spain for 10 months over the last two years

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Easy flowing conversation,

- Dry Humour (I firmly study and appreciate the art of stand-up comedy; timing, storytelling, setting-up punchlines, and crowd work)

- Collaborating on music

- Food! I don't drink/smoke so unfortunately none of these

- Able to help with cooking, cleaning, and any organizing needs you may have!
