ABOUT ME

I am from Dubrovnik, Croatia - born and raised. I live with my mom and sometimes my two sisters come to visit us from college. We live in a flat (4th floor, very nice view) and it's medium apartment (75 m^2). I just love meeting new people and expanding my horizons. Traveling is like my big hobby. I used to play handball for 5 years now and then stopped for year and a half, don't know why, that was probably the bad side of puberty haha so this year I'm going back to handball stronger than ever! :D I like to play football in free time with my friends. I just finished high school and now I'm going to college. Diving is my passion and the sea is my other home, every minute of my free time I like to spend on the beach or somewhere else on the sea. I am always in for some adventure and I don't like planning too much. Too much planning kills the adventure :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am just hosting and that's what I'll do mostly, I don't care about free place to stay when I go somewhere because I just want to meet as much people as I can and experience some new cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travell experience - I haven't had any cs travel experience so far.
Hosting experience - I've met some wonderfull people within hosting and I'm so glad that I've stayed in touch with so many of them.

Interests

Handball - I'm pretty good at that and my father used to play it, I guess I got it from him :). Other than that, sea. Anything that involves sea - I'm in. I love to dive, this summer I will get my diving licence. Besides that I use every oportunity to do something new. I did horse riding and paragliding this year and I am planning to do rifting next. Biggest "to do" wish? Skydiving!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love Eminem, but I listen to almost everything. As a real Croat I'm always glad to hear traditional croatian song - klapu.
Movies: some favourites - Seven pounds, Pursuit of happyness, Shawshank redemption.
Books: The Bridge on the Drina, Death and the Dervish

Teach, Learn, Share

What I came to realize while hosting is that none of the people that I've hosted cared about the quality of my home. Some things in my home were broken or not working and none of them cared. They all left my house with heart full of happiness living me the same and now by just reminiscing them and the times spent together I find my self with the huge smile on my face and a bit of sadness knowing that there is a big possibility that I will never see them again. It's amazing how can somebody in such a small time give you amazing memories and that's why I would recomend cs to everyone!
