ABOUT ME

I travel for fun and also for work. :)

I also practice (what some people call "extreme") sports, like diving with sharks (200 dives and counting) and every now and then I feel like strapping myself to a guy I ve never met and jump out of the plane (3 times now).

At home I don't watch TV (because I borrowed it to my brother years ago and totally forgot to get it back) so it leaves me plenty of time to spend time with my boyfriend, friends & family and plan new trips. ;) So that's just little a bit about me. Let's meet up and I'll tell you more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled and been hosted by amazing people all over the world, so now it is time to host. Since my apartment in Helsinki is teeny tiny, I will host on our farm, 45 kms from Helsinki in summertime (July-August), when I have more free time. Altho I have more time to socialize with you, I still have to do the farm work and I would love to get some help from you. I hope you like animals since there are horses on the farm. We can do horseback riding, go to sauna, play tennis, swim etc. The countryside is super-pretty especially in summer. You can stay from few days to few weeks if we get along well. :)

Few years ago when I was traveling I got so excited about the CS that I made my thesis on it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Officially I've surfed in Samoa, Australia, USA, Mexico and India since I started early this year (2009).

But really.. I have been sleeping on my friends couches in different countries for ages. :)

Interests

I m interested in everything life has to offer: old people's stories, sailing, scuba diving, traveling, good wine, books, to taste weird food which I most likely end up liking, photography (I am obsessed with it), horses, writing, spending time with my friends and constantly make new ones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Varanasi (there are no words). Survived from motorcycle accident in Thailand (and got back on the vehicle after that), Slept on a deck of a sailing boat (on the boom to be exact) on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Seen the sunrise at Angor Wat in Cambodia, took people for their first dives in Caribbean and seen their happy faces after that, had bagel and coffee for breaky in Central park in NY, got cured by Fijian family when I was really sick, diving with manta rays, sharks, turtles in several countries, spotted a seahorse, named it Emma and later saved it from a fish's mouth (not kidding) in Dominican Republic.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take you for a horse back riding trip or for a dive ( I am a dive master), I can teach you Finnish (all the bad and good words) and I can stop you crying after telling you that we eat reindeer in Finland (I dont eat anyone, I am a vegetarian).
