Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great way to immerse yourself into a new culture. What better way to learn about a new place than from the locals. I have stayed with many local families while volunteering abroad and had some truly amazing experiences that I would not have had otherwise.

I like to sit over a beer or coffee and talk with someone who was raised in a culture with opinions, politics, education and experiences that are similar or different from my own.

I have a wide variety of taste in music, movies and books. I will watch any movie as long as it's not horror! One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few of my favorite moments from traveling: I got to toboggan down the Great Wall of China, zipline through the rainforest in Costa Rica, ride camels through the desert in Egypt and Morocco, take a road trip through Tuscany and bathed an elephant in Laos.
