ABOUT ME

I’m a Chilean archaeologist. For my work I’ve been in amazing places in my own country and I consider myself very lucky because of that! But now I’m fulfilling my dream to know Europe for first time! I love to meet people, have a nice and interesting conversation. I consider myself a very easy going person. I’m quiet, but I always enjoy to go out and dance or have a drink. About me: I’m tidy, I don't smoke, I eat everything, I’m (or at least I try to be) very organized, sometimes little bit impatient.

Soy arqueóloga, chilena. Mi carrera me ha llevado a conocer muchos lugares dentro de mi país y me considero muy afortunada por eso. Pero ahora quiero conocer Europa y el resto del mundo, lugares a los que no he viajado. Me gusta conocer gente, una buena conversación. Estoy ansiosa de conocer nuevos lugares y ciudades. En relación a mi caracter soy organizada, ordenada y un poco impaciente. Tranquila, pero me gusta mucho salir a tomarse un trago o a bailar. También soy un poco acelerada para hacer las cosas que quiero. No fumo y como de todo. Recalco que soy ordenada y muy limpia!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe the world is huge… full of things and people to meet. I’m pretty sure that I can’t go everywhere, but at least I would like to try! Also, this is a way to know myself and realize the differences and diversity in this planet and learn for them! I want to open my mind to this world and make lots of friends on the way!

Creo que el mundo es enorme, lleno de cosas que hay que conocer. No significa que lo pueda hacer, pero quiero intentar. Hay que ser tolerante para darse cuenta de las diferencias que existen entre mi mundo actual y el real en el que vivimos. Para mí, eso se aprende viajando, conociendo gente, vistando lugares. Es tan importante conocer culturas distintas, aprender de ellas para valorar y mejorar lo que somos. Abrir la cabeza al mundo y ojalá hacer muchos amigos en el camino.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've participated in several meetings, campings, trips, get together… amazing! We’ve had incredible moments and I’ve made real friends. I also have surfed several times and I had a great experiences!

He participado de reuniones, actividades y he surfeado... todo genial! He tenido muy, muy buenas experiencias y me encantaria devolver el favor, siendo host!

Interests

I love to know new places, visit museums, the urban life and the city. Have a coffee, walk around, take photos and if is possible, go to archaeological sites! I really enjoy a relax and fun conversation. I like reading, watch movies and dance! Know new cultures, find the differences with my own country, practise my English… also try all chocolates that I can!

Me gusta conocer lugares nuevos, visitar museos, la vida urbana y la ciudad, tomar café a media mañana, pasear, sacar fotos y visitar sitios arqueológicos. Me gusta una conversación relajada y entretenida, pasarlo bien. Me gusta leer, ver películas, bailar. Conocer nuevas culturas, descubrir las diferencias con las cosas que conozco. Y aprender bien inglés! Me interesa probar los chocolates y alfajores del mundo entero!

Music, Movies, and Books

Córtazar, Borges, Vargas Llosa, las novelas de detectives e históricas, los cuentos de fantasía, disfuto con libros bien escritos. En películas me gustan las basadas en comics, románticas buenas (no las cliché fomes), de fantasía, de suspenso, con ediciones entretenidas y las enredadas: Amelie, Final de partida, las peliculas de Wes Anderson, me encantarón las de Kusturica... no se me ocurren, pero hay muchas más.
En musica soy variada, me gustan las voces feminas como Alanis, Aime Mann, Shakira, Tori Aimos, R. Spector, Zaz, Brigitte, Robbie Boyd Band, Soda, Ceratti, Coldplay, Estopa, Fito y los Fitipaldis, Love of Lesbian, Fiona Apple, Florence and the Machine, Jack Johnson, Chilly Gonzalez, Serrat, Sabina, Johansen, Los Beatles, Belle and Sebastian, Carla Bruni, Algunas de Holden, Babasónicos, Miranda, Within Temptation, Ayeron, Drexler, Calamaro... entre otros más..

I always want to hear the small or not so popular groups when I'm visiting a new country.. discover new good artists!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fly above the south coast of England with Damien (CS).. he let me drive the plane!!!! Uff… AMAZING!

Cruzar la cordillera -arrancando de la nieve- a caballo. Uff, extremo en su momento, pero ahora una experiencia increíble!
