Overview
About Me
I’ve had more addresses and roommates than I can count on my fingers and toes in the past decade, and am finally starting to realize the U.S. is a pretty cool country too. How do you complete the phrase “home is where ___?”
I always want to have my next trip planned. I value new beginnings, waking with the sunrise, candid photos, and sharing weird food, good alcohol, rich chocolate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
New places are best seen through the eyes of its locals. I want to capture a genuine idea of the way of life in my host city, no matter how short my stay. Whether you can offer a couch, time to meet up, or recommendations for my visit, a conversation will be appreciated.
Please respect the CS community and help people feel safe and respected. To show you’ve read this far, in your message tell me your favorite dessert.
Interests
My goal is to do as many new things as possible which can include signing up for a new dance class or volunteering for any issue area. I try not to go to the same place twice, not even the same restaurant if I can help it. My favorite thing to do in a new place is go to a farmers market or thrift store to see how the locals live, survive and thrive. I find beauty in cemeteries when traveling.
I’m always excited to exchange book and song recommendations too - so naturally local book stores and live music are high on my list when traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Johnny Depp. Clint Eastwood. Angelina Jolie. Meryl Streep. 90s kid Disney & Harry Potter. Lord of the Rings. I'm unapologetically guilty of talking through movies, or else falling asleep.
The Fountainhead. Catcher in the Rye. The Name of the Wind. Lois Lowry. Jeffrey Sachs. I love starting new books but rarely finish them. I write in the margins and shop second-hand. Philosophy and spiritual books fill my shelves although I rarely finish a book and often have 5 open at once.
80s rock, metal, reggae, alternative, indie, blues... Live music at dive bars, shameless car karaoke after work, and outdoor concerts are all investments of my time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Studying abroad in Dresden, DE for seven months - the best experience of my life to date.
Teach, Learn, Share
I consider myself a generalist rather than a specialist - dabbling Hindu teachings, annotating philosophy, evaluating global sustainability, cultivating intention over habit.. I believe that every day our life is a sum total of all the choices we have yet made.
I also have two small tattoos that I designed so let's talk about how people choose to chronicle their timeline throughout life.
The closest thing I have experienced to magic is our dynamic perceptions of time. Reflecting on timing in life can keep me talking for ages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Let's share stories and find our common ground.
