About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To stay open to new situations and experiences, to make the most out of living.

ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Teresa I was born in Africa and
educated in Africa and Europe. I've travelled
vastly and have lived in several continents
Africa, Europe, Asia and the Indian Ocean. I've
visited every continent.

PHILOSOPHY

To learn, learn, learn. Live and let live but keep our eyes open to injustices. To refuse to accept and become numb or indifferent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to meet new people and share time with them in their house or in mine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've beeen very lucky and have had some very interesting couchsurfing experiences as a host here in the south of France and in Duenãs as a surfer in Spain at Maria's lovely home and family.

Interests

I'm interested in travelling. I used to play djembé and I practiced sailing, and traditional boat rowing , qi gong and tai chi. I also do Pilates.
I feel concerned about global warming and try not to heat too much or eat too much meat. I can cook vegetarian meals.
I try to make my students aware of global warming and how we can be more environnement oriented.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading one of my favourite authors is Wilbur Smith, who writes about Africa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived 100km from the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for about 7 years. I've seen the volcano erruptions in Reunion three times while I lived there, I've visited Australia, New Zealand, Brasil, the floating market in Thailand. I've lived in Singapour and Malaisia and several other countries in Europe and Africa. I went for three weeks to the USA last year, with my two adult children. We visited LA, San Francisco, NY and Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and so on.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learnt to use Bach's Florals, as well as Reiki. I have learnt ayurvédique massages as well as relaxation massages. I also followed some classes on P.B.A. ( psycho bio acupressure ).

What I Can Share with Hosts

My good humour, the wine from the vineyards that surround me (not my wine ), the winery is about 300m away and the wine is quite good for a table wine. I can talk about my travels, share tips improve your English or French and even Portuguese, I can cook for you and show you around if I'm not too busy.
The days I prefer to receive hosts Monday nights and Wednesday nights. It's always difficult to have guest over the weekend as I have a busy life.
