I am a 21 year old American girl studying Psychology in the Netherlands with a passion for travel. I love learning new things about different cultures and I am excited to find out where this life takes me. From my experience growing up in the US it is fairly uncommon to travel outside of the county a lot. But I travelled to The Netherlands for the first time when I was 16 and I've been addicted to traveling ever since. I've now been to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris, Dublin, Barcelona, Brussels, Curaçao and all over the Netherlands. I have so many places on my Bucketlist and I am just getting started :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What better way to immerse myself into the culture and lifestyle of other people than to stay with them?!I think it will be a great way to build relationships along the way and to get the locals insider opinions on what to see and where to go. So far I have had great experiences with where I stay and have made some nice friends too!

Interests

One thing I really love about the Dutch is that they love biking just as much as I do.

I love traveling the world and meeting new people from different cultures. It fascinates me to learn about how other people grew up and how they think.

I am studying Psychology at Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. The human brain and mind are highly intriguing to me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I really can enjoy most all music. Top 40, Jazz, country, classical, pop, some rap, oldies, ect. I love music that makes me dance but also soulful and acoustic music! I have a large spectrum of music preference.

Movies: I am a sucker for romantic comedies and also psychological thrillers.

Books: Like movies, I love the romance and stories with a mystery and plot twist. When I get into a book I will be finished within a week for sure if not in just a few days! Nicholas Sparks author of the Notebook is my go to romance novelist. I also love reading classics like Of Mice and Men, Frankenstein, and To Kill a Mockingbird. With every book I read I learn a lesson and take something away from it. I love reading because it sometimes helps me relax and it's a great way for me to feel like I am in a different world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to move to the Netherlands and leave my family, friends and old life behind and I think that takes a lot of courage!
