I’m a somatic healer and certified brainspotting practitioner so I help people heal from trauma and release emotional blocks. My kids are grownups and I have a kitty named Kitty and a dog named Wrigley.

I love to go to spiritual retreats in my free time and I love to travel.

You can usually find me at a dog park, or a rock gym, or at pilates.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and get a feel for the community that exists in various places. I'm not sure if it's kosher to couch surf with a dog. haha, but he's more like a canine person than a dog really. His name is Wrigley and he's obsessed with insta.

He's also almost completely hypoallergenic (very few people with dog allergies react to him as he is half poodle). He sheds very little (and he is super hilarious).

Interests

I care a whole lot about social justice/humanitarian issues, i.e., prison reform, forced labor, voting rights and the Grand Challenges of Social Work https://grandchallengesforsocialwork.org/#the-challenges. Long time studier of the human brain.

I'm also into art, museums, brunch, and of course, hikes/dog parks/all things dogs.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all the music genres and all of the art. I usually read non fiction. Lately I’ve had a hard time with movies. I’m not into gore or horror at all anymore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a foster parent from 2012 to 2015 for a boy who had severe emotional disorders stemming from very early childhood abuse. It was the most intense thing I've ever done.

I give oracle card readings, do energy work like clearing negative emotions. I can also do brainspotting sessions for people who want to try somatic healing.
