Overview
About Me
I am an IT developer and work now as a teacher in a startup - an IT developer school, GET Academy. Outside that there is not much time for travelling and other things, but I hope to do more of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel more, and what I really like about travelling is meeting new people. I'm interested in a lot of things and am a curious guy. So until now I have always stayed in hotels and travelled with my friends, but I am going to travel alone and then use Couchsurfing both as a way of lowering the costs and meeting more people.
Interests
I'm an INFJ in the MBTI and am high on fantasy and openness to ideas on the Big 5. I am clearly an introvert, but still I love to meet and get to know new people. I'm better in small groups than in big ones.
So my interest is to learn about new stuff. It can be technical, physchological, historical - I have a broad range of interests. I'm not a party guy - I don't enjoy places where the music is so loud you can't talk, and I'm not a great dancer. But I enjoy hiking, walking, cycling and so on, but no extreme sports.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the books of Norwegian Karl Ove Knausgård, "Min kamp". I dream about writing a novel myself, but actually I read mostly non-fiction.
I love a lot of different movies. When I was younger, I had very explicit favorites: Cinema paradiso, Breaking the waves and .. oh, I don't remember anymore. But now, I enjoy all types of movies. But I guess I have kind of a "feminine" taste. For instance Pride and prejudice is a movie I still return to sometimes. Keira Knightley is great! Lost in translation is also a favorite. But I like more common movies as well!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My current startup is great. We are a school open to all, but mainly so far we have helped dropouts to learn and get a job as IT developers. Before that I did a startup on my own, but if failed. I like programming, but it has to be used for something meaningful - or else I get bored quite quickly.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm just into learning about different cultures, seeing issues from all sides. And I love to see that people are somethat the same all over the world. I play chess, by the way, so I can both teach and learn cheess.
I'm trying to learn Spanish, but it goes really slow. I leaned German in school, and I think I am okay, but in Germany, people talk back to me in English, so I guess they are not impressed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook some Norwegian meals, and I can teach about chess, programming or mathematics. I'm also quite into ... I don't know what to call it, but let' try "popularized psychology", like Grit, Growth Mindset, Martin Seligman, Jordan Peterson, MBTI, Big 5, personality psychology and so on.
