CURRENT MISSION

In May - June of this year, two of my friends and I will be spending 3 weeks in Europe. Our plan is to go from Iceland > Geneva > Amsterdam > Copenhagen > Oslo > Stockholm. That's about as thorough as the planning is gonna get.

ABOUT ME

I think that people think I'm a generally nice guy who sometimes says funny things. I'm pretty good at Jeopardy! I have the same first and last name (Thomas Thomas) but I go by Ben. I run whenever possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not going to say anything earth-shattering here. I'm trying to have as many new, enjoyable experiences as possible. I love learning new things, but have no illusions that I'm ever going to understand life any better than I do now.

I like running, music(mostly folky, bluesy, country, jammy stuff), beer(both drinking and brewing), maps, dogs, friends, history, science, traveling (this is where you come in), tea, college basketball, jeopardy!, books (Kurt Vonnegut is my all-time favorite).

Music: The focal point is definitely folk/blues/country, but my music interests extend into jazz, older hip-hop, and miscellaneous indie music. If you introduce me to it, I'll probably like it.
Books: The Sirens of Titan, Cat's Cradle, Galapagos, The Hobbit, Stranger in a Strange Land, Collapse, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
