Overview
About Me
One day I woke up and realize, I "Just" have to travel more.
It was both sad and embarrassing when I realize it had been 13 yrs since I went abroad. That same morning I went down to the post office to renew my passport.
Two months later, I was on a plane heading to Bogota, Colombia for two weeks. Wow what a rush! The moment I was was in the center of the city, the sights, the sounds, the smells, all filled me with more excitement than I could remember. I vowed then and there that I would continue to travel no matter what it takes.
Since that inaugural trip I have been to eight other countries.
As for my career, I am a brand manager for a software firm. I enjoy what my job, mainly because I can work while traveling .
I am definitely an extrovert. I find it easy to strike up conversations with people. Which is especially useful since I am traveling solo most of the time. In Zurich, I complimented a Swiss on his hat and we immediately became best friends. Ha. The next day he took me on a day trip to Lucerne, where we met a french couple. We spend several hours (and drank several of pints) just learning about each other lives and cultures (with the snow capped mountains in the background). Priceless.
So I look forward to meeting good people and hearing good stories.
See you soon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing mainly because I fly standby primarily. Sometimes I never know where I'm going to I get to the airport. That doesn't leave much time to plan or find a place to stay. Its would be nice to have a place to stay and meet people as soon as I land.
Hostels are fine, but I sometimes need a little more privacy, not to mention peace and quietness.
Airbnb is fine, but again I never know where I might end up, so I miss out on a lot of the more central affordable places. Plus the cancellation policy is unforgivable at times.

Teach, Learn, Share
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.
