Hi Lovely People! I am Australia who lives in Melbourne and is currently travelling Europe. I grew up in Perth and moved to Melbourne in my early twenties. Since then I have spent most of every weekend going on adventures whether to festivals, hikes camping trips, surfing trips or cycling trips. I love meeting new people and I consider myself a friendly person. I am always down to try new things and I always keep an open mind. I am currently overseas in Europe doing some travel as I have just finished my engineering degree

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people especially locals. I find passing through cities in hostels or campgrounds is only half of what travelling is about and getting the chance to meet locals and even other travelers is such an enriching experience! I also usually travel alone and often by bicycle so meeting people can sometimes be challenging with coachsurfing I hope to be able to meet more people and make some real connections. I love to be part of a culture of sharing whether it be ride share, volunteering, running community events or sharing goods. when I have a stable household I hope to host other couch-surfers.

Interests

I love cycling especially bicycle touring I often travel by bike. I find it is great way to explore cities and nature as well.
I like surfing both as a sport and a lifestyle I run a surfing group at my university and it is a great way to meet people and awesome experience. We run camps down to surf beaches surfing camping and chilling in great locations with great people.
I love history and always am keen to visit museums and landmarks as well as hearing stories and tales.
I enjoy art and I always try to visit art museums when I can
I like hiking and camping and I am always down to visit nature
I find politics interesting but I avoid
I love festivals and I am pretty mean dancer :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite music artist include prog rock artists King Crimson and a band called Caravan. I quite like country rock like the Allman brothers and I always enjoy Johnny Cash. Soundgarden may be my favourite rock band and I was always quite partial to Opeth. I am always happy to hear new music or go to a gig!

My favourite movie is probably Apocalypse Now it so epic in scope!

My favourite books include Snow crash, American Gods and The Catcher in the Rye. I just finished reading The grapes of Wrath which I very much enjoyed

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my bicycles from Melbourne to Sydney
Rode from Vancouver to whistler then hiked up Blackcomb mountain the next day
Rode around New Zealand
Walked through a Glacier in Switzerland
Road across Europe

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn another language! I have been learning been learning spanish for a little while now. I am always keen to learn new things. I don't have much to teach but I always have a good attitude.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories and adventures. I am always interested in sharing experiences. I feel I am easy to talk to and friendly. I am interesting in history and politics and I am always willing to discuss and keep an open mind. I am always happy to cook a meal! I enjoy sharing a glass of beer, wine, tea or coffee. I am always happy to help with housework and will always happy to help my host whether it be doing the dishes, hanging out the washing, chopping firewood or whatever I can do to ease their day!
