CURRENT MISSION

I’m spending the first 2 weeks if July in Japan (for the first time!)
First week is in Tokyo. My main goal is to eat all the food and find all the underground gigs. I have accommodation but would love to meet/hang with some local peeps (and fellow travellers)

I love being around people, sharing stories, drinks and good times!

Travel for me is all about the people, and what better way to get to know people and their lives than by visiting them in their random home towns!

I like to think I'm a yes man. I'm always up for a drink, gig, party, game or any kind of adventure! (budget permitting! )

PHILOSOPHY

Don't let the man get you down (School of Rock:2003). I believe in enjoying life as it comes, have high expectations for yourself and don't get stuck living the normal life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been on this site for years, it's starting to be a bit of a struggle finding hosts in cities (especially being a single male), but now I'm in the perfect situation to host and want to make the most of it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted so many different types of people, it's great being able to trade stories and experience my town through the eyes of someone else.

I've done an epic 14000 mile road trip over the states and had the chance to stay with some amazing people

Saxophone, MUSIC!!, ultimate frisbee, water polo, tennis, drinking, cavorting, traversing, intraversing, conversing, entertaining, partying, cards, meeting new people and all sorts of other fun things

Jazz, Blues, Rock, Alternative, EVERYTHING. I love most types of music, particularly if it involves someone showing off their musical prowness. Favourite artists include: Snarky Puppy, Umphrey's Mcgee, Lettuce. Hiromi's Sonicbloom, Karl Denson, Dave Matthews, Bela Fleck, Les Claypool, Living Colour ....

Played and lived with a band in New Orleans. We slept on the floor of an art gallery and had a world famous artist paint us on several occasions!
