About Me

Endlessly curious seeker and explorer, there are few things that don't grab my attention. I am a sensitive observer and thinker, and prefer to process things deeply. I love to travel to be in new places to absorb, to meet landscapes and the people they shape and are shaped by. To see myself with changing backdrops as a continuously shifting entity. I recognize and strive to live more aligned with a core resonance that may be called intuition.

Ongoing themes to my thought stream include people/cultures relating to the natural world, ecological processes and the observable patterns they produce, the persistent solution of diversification, seeking solutions to the problems (though trying to let go of being a "fixer").

Interests

Natural history, cultural history, big old trees, clear rivers, doing anything outdoors, anything made from raw materials, simplicity, eccentric oddities. Making and observing art, listening to and trying to play music, group storytelling, collaborative solutions. Baking, chopping vegetables, improvising with food. Walking long distances, cycling, sailing- feeling environments through the senses. Agroecology, phytogeography, botany, plant ecology, environmental sociology, bioremediation, ethnobotany. Alternative education, philosophy in a vague sense, eastern thought, mindfulness and its potential for healing and change. Human beings in their constantly creative state and all of its productions, thinking outside of value systems. The smell of mycelial strands webbing through soil while digging, concocting original meals with limited resources for a crowd. Spontaneity. Reverence. Humor.
