I'm 35 and a mother of two. Spent most of my life like the majority of the population being so busy you forget to live. My children are at an age now where I can divert some much needed attentions to myself. I'm married but we live separately in two different cities and it's rather complicated.

I work in the legal field and it's extremely demanding and stressful but on the other hand I'm also a touring musician. I play in a very eclectic band, touring the country and some internationally with my family. Seriously... my band is literally my family. It's an amazing experience and I love it but also very demanding.

Spiritually I'm not Christian and tend to follow more earth based practices but I don't label it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

13 years as a mother of 2, 11 years as a wife in a very complicated relationship, 13 years working legal criminal cases, 6 years touring as a musician and a lifetime of unrealized dreams. I still have one dream left that I can still accomplish. Backpacking through Iceland has now become a reality. Alone or with a friend I don't know yet but in 2017 I will make the journey and not only see the world's most beautiful landscapes but perhaps re-discover myself. So, I'm seeking to make friends there before I do this. I plan to backpack and cut down on costs as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Honestly I love all music. I'm not the biggest fan of rap but I'll give it it's dues. If you were to turn on my current playlists thought what you would hear would probably surprise you. Epic instrumentals, world music, most likely if there are vocals they will be in a foreign language. Current obsession... Wardruna from Norway.

Movies: This is where I'm not going to bother too much because you would get tired of reading if I put them all so three favs... LOTR, Harry Potter's and Zombieland. My taste is diverse and goes between extremes.

TV Shows: Deadwood, Justified, The Walking Dead, Penny Dreadful, Game of Thrones, Vikings, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad

Books: Once again way to long to list so if it's historical, fantasy or horror I'll probably love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting the opportunity to tour with my family (eg. father, step-mother, aunt, brother, sister-in-law, etc) has been amazing. The memories we've made, things we've done together... cannot be replaced. We've created a legacy and we've built a tribe. It's a beautiful amazing thing that even are children can carry on after us.

Teach, Learn, Share

Who knows... i'd be happy to teach and share whatever I can. If your interest is in music or law I'm your girl. lol I've also learned a lot from travelling in the nature based religious circles and am happy to share what I can.

I want to learn anything I can about Iceland, it's history and culture and it's language.
