I have long subscribed to the belief that good storytelling has the power to change the world. Fresh out of a BA with a major in journalism, I'm ready to take on the world and soak up all the spectacular stories it has to offer.

I am currently working my fifth stint as a summer intern at my province's largest circulation daily newspaper, where I have worked in some capacity for 12 years. Along with covering daily news, I keep a weekly column called 'Twentysomething,' which explores exactly what that means (which, it turns out, I am learning day by day.)

I have had the good fortune of traveling across my country and occasionally beyond, but this fall will mark my first big solo venture. I couldn't be more excited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am embarking on a three-and-a-half month tour of Europe from September 2015 onward and have been told there is no better way to see the world than by crashing on the couches of its coolest citizens. I will be travelling with my best friend, Mary, for the first month of the trip.
