Hey, I’m Tessa and I'm backpacking through Scandinavia and the baltic states right now (Interrail). One of the many reasons why I love travelling is that you see and learn something new everyday and you’re totally spontaneous as you can basically do whatever comes to your mind. I’m always curious about the culture of the people I’m visiting, so therefore I like meeting up with locals but I also just generally appreciate social contact.
I basically just travelled the whole year, as I did Interrail in southern Europe last summer and been working in Austria for a few month in winter. Still want to use the time before I’m gonna study biochemistry in October. And now I wanted to try Couchsurfing, as you can see on my great amount of references I’m new to this but excited to make great experiences. Also I would love to return the favor of hosting when I’m settled back home again.
I enjoy exploring a new city whether it is visiting a museum, go hiking to see the nature or just sitting down at a park or cafe, also I love swimming and flea markets. I also like to explore a new city by night, mostly I’ll go with live music, bars which have a certain charme or raves but I’m up to whatever you can show me. At home I often just relax in the garden while reading a book, so if you have any recommendations, I’m excited to hear them.

Interests

I enjoy a lot of things, well the most obvious one is traveling at the moment. I love being active so I’m in for swimming, climbing or dancing but I also like more relaxing things like reading, picknicks, going to markets of all kind, picking flowers or playing cards/board games.
Also interested in how the human body and mind works and trying to get more into feminism

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music and I don’t limit myself on one genre. But mostly I listen to rock, (alt/baroque) pop and techno. A few artists are lana del rey, måneskin, girl in red, the neighbourhood, chase atlantic, die toten Hosen, Broilers, Ärzte and linking park

Definitely fantasy and romantic books. The Merry gentry books and everflame are my most favourite books but not well known. I love Harry Potter, Hobbit, Reckless and Game of thrones

I like dumb comedy (but no sitcoms) and fantasy movies like we are the millers, Harry Potter, the other woman, holidate, enola holmes, and bibi & tina. My favourite series are stranger things, outlander, young royals, Bridgerton and die Pfefferkörner (a german series for kids)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my best memories is visiting Bled (not far from Ljubljana) with a few friends. The lake just looks magical. We walked around it and swam to the island in the middle:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of funny stories and good vibes. I’m generally a quite happy person and easy to handle. Spontaneous, happy to do something with you but I will not bother you if you need your own time and space
