I spent four years in Asia, living in Beijing and then Taiwan. I backpacked Southeast Asia, then Europe and on to Mongolia where I spent a few months. Then backpacked Namibia, South Africa, Uganda and Tanzania. Next I headed to Colombia in South America.

Traveling is my greatest passion-- it has been interesting, exciting, challenging, and the most rewarding thing in my life. I'd love to share stories with you!

I'm a small-town Midwestern American girl who found a second home in Taiwan. I'm always looking for the next adventure (whether that means taking off to a new destination, trying out a new experience, or hosting some fellow travelers on my rather comfy couch.)

With movies, I'll watch just about anything. From silent films to techie sci-fi, brutal war flicks to cheesy rom-coms. A few of my favorites, though:
Princess Bride, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Lord of the Rings, Roman Holiday, To Kill A Mockingbird, Braveheart, Lethal Weapon, V for Vendetta, Disney

Gimme a book and a cup of coffee and I'm happy for the day. Again, I'm not overly discerning, I'll read anything! From the classics to the contemporary, and absolutely any genre. Favorites here: 1984, Atlas Shrugged, Wild, Gone With the Wind, Pride and Prejudice, Lord of the Rings

I've been blessed with some fantastic experiences, and those opportunities have almost all come from my travels. I learned to paraglide in Taiwan, roadtripped across Nepal, crossed the northern steppe of Mongolia on horseback, and worked with lions in Thailand, to name a few.
