About Me
I am trying to figure out the best way to enjoy this thing about living. By far I've found some pretty good and pretty bad options. The bad were trying to force myself in schools and programmes that I didn't really want, which resulted in a fear of learning. The good were learning to enjoy learning again.
So I quit trying to fit into a school, and left for backpacking in Europe. I'm exploring my curiousness, and its vastness surprises me. I am actually pretty interested in many things, I notice.
Some years ago I started realising that I would keep getting interested in things that I had previously found boring in the sense that "I am interested in pretty much everything, but I could never imagine myself enjoying thin X"; some that in my teenage years I would even loath. Things like boxing, wrestling, meditation, yoga, fencing, metal music, folk music, juggling, simple living, spending time/living in the nature, coding, playing the piano, saxophone and drums. (Yes, I used to find all of those things boring - imagine, what an utterly boring life I would have, had I believed those thoughts and stuck to them.) I keep having those ideas of something being boring, and still I keep surprising myself by liking the activity after all. One host, for instance, taught me Bachata dancing which I thought I would hate. It ended up being great. Some things I've yet to get myself into are chess, electronic music and cooking. If you have a passion for any of these, or anything really, please, get me into it too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I went nomad in the spring, and spent some time visiting friends. I realised it is a very strong way of connecting with people, not only meeting for chats, but meeting to share everyday life together. It is a way of understanding how similar and how different we are.
Interests
Despite having interest in such a broad scale of things, my greatest passion lies in writing. I am keen on having proper in-depth conversations but in counterbalance I like to take a lot of time on my notes. So if you host me, and like to spend time alone or need to work, it is just a perfect time for me to spend some time with my notebook.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have read shamefully little during past years. I haven't finished any books recently, but some that I have valued are Yuval Noah Harari's The Brief History of Humankind, Daniel Kahneman's Thinking - Fast and Slow and Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf.
Music is something I like listening with concentration. There's not too many genres I dislike, and therefore it's hard, impossible really, to specify what I like. To pick a few artists, here are some: TesseracT, Emancipator, Regina Spektor, Parov Stelar. I like dancing to most genres, too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spontaniously make big life choices.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning all sorts of things, I haven't stuck to any hobby. Therefore I am a master in no skill (except for sometimes I manage to make good points about other's thinking). Altho I can teach you the basics of many things! If you're worse in music than what I am, then I can teach you the very basics of that stuff. And we can practice the use of voice together - one doesen't need to be good at singing to know how to train it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Company, stories and thoughts. I carry a few footbags with me, which could be kicked around in the park if the weather lets us. If I can help you in anything in exchange for hosting me, please do tell me. When I have a home somewhere, highly likely in Finland, Tampere, my home is open for you.
