One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i drove around america for a month with my best friend in the world julia. i don't know where to begin, really, but if i had to pick my most favorite place in this giant country of ours it would be glacier national park, montana. they call it the alps of america, apparently. absolutely exquisite.
two years later, I hitchhiked this very same country with another best friend, and on one of these amazing days we were in Burlington, VT, playing music on the waterfront and these two very little kids and their mom approach us, and the two kids just start moving their bodies to the music, as if they had never experienced this desire to dance before and they were feeling it for the first time and they were just GOING FOR IT. it was incredible to witness.
