About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a 29 year old nurse. I'm honest and open, I love meeting new people, learning what makes them tick, I appreciate depth in conversation, though I can be entirely silly when the need arises. I love the opportunities nursing provides, to meet with people in a situation and a very raw way not many occupations would allow.
Being a shift worker, there's very little routine in my life, and it's great! I love day-trips and going to places I've never been. I love icecream. I love to bake. I love a good beer and game of pool at the pub. There are the weeks when I'll power through all 5 seasons of a tv show. And I love a good dance in the living room.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosting for a few years. I've had some great adventures with our couchsurfers, and still keep in touch with a few who have passed through on their travels.
Interests
My life outside of work is generally divided between my kitchen, uni work, being a bit domestic (because there's sanity to be had in a tidy house), a good book, the occasional hike, my herb garden, a cup of tea and real conversation between friends. And when time permits, the tent or swag gets dusted off and taken to the river for a few days.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is pretty wide, from Laura Marling to The jezebels, Bon Iver, to Something for Kate, Radiohead, to alexisonfire to Brahms and mozart. It just needs to be the right soundtrack to fit my mood.
Favourite movies would be Garden State, Lost in Translation, Jane Eyre, Underworld, Snatch.
I read a lot. Right now I'm re-reading the game of thrones series. So much I missed the first time through!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My 6 week solo road trip part way up the east coast of Australia last year was pretty fantastic. Lots of hiking, camping, driving, and solo-car-singing. I recommend spending an extended length of time by yourself if you get the chance.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can make sweet 3D paper stars. Just ask my uni friends. Lecture notes handed out in class are a great source of paper and uninterrupted crafty time. Very happy to teach anyone who wants to get their origami on. If you can teach me how to make a crane I'd be indebted to you for at least as long as I remember...
