About Me
I'd like to be on the road as much as possible during my free time, so reconnect with Couchsurfing is a good opportunity to meet people during my trips :)
This year, I am teaching french at SFU Burnaby. I will live close from Vancouver from september to april. I love outdoors, so leaving here is priceless ! II love cycling, so it would not be surprising if youI find me with my bike!
I do hiking as well and camping. I'm learning climbing and I loved it so far. And my next purpose is learning MTB :D So basically, being outside :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was in Quebec, I cycled for one week and did couchsurfing for the first time. It was a wonderfull experience, because I met inspiring people :).
Indeed, more and more, during my trip, I would like to :
- meet "inhabitants" around the world and discover THEIR world
- share joy, anecdotes, little things, memories
- discover a new way to travel in the XIX century
- meet people even when there is no hostel in a city
Interests
I am curious and I love learning about the culture, history, tradition, anecdotes... of the place I visit.
But in general, there is nothing that does not interest me. However, I think that my interests are the common point: they make me feel aware about what is happening in the world.
And I could have a long conversation about cycling and hiking, vegan food (because I love to cook and share good meals !), nature and environment, and what I learn when I traveled :)
- culture
- folklore
- traveling
- socializing
- cycling
- hiking
- history
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all styles of music. It depends on my feelings and where I am.
My favorite thing is a live music concert, I'm addicted to it. When I was in Ireland I've seen concert almost every day, when I travel I'm always looking for a warm/cute/pub with music and beer smell.
I especially love when people share their favorite music and discover new artist because the language of music is universal! So host: you should share with me what you like!
- It is the same think about books and movies: I keep a list of all those shares :)
Teach, Learn, Share
As I said, I am vegan and I like cook. But what I prefer is to share a tasty vegan meal, and cook with people! Indeed we learn a lot each other and the result is a yummy vegan dish:)!
So it would be a pleasure to show you what I have on my "lunch box" or cook with you if you're interested :)
If some host is scared because they don't know how to cook vegan, we could cook together.
But you should know that outside, I could eat vegetarian. Because for me, share a meal with people is more important, and I don't want to miss this opportunity and make my host uncomfortable ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
- The fact that trips bring enthusiasm and the joy to me
- My knowledges about "a subject we will discuss" and my curiosity about their knowledges and their town/country
- My trip, what I have done and seen, what I want to do etc.
- My lunch / The culinary specialty of the country I visit/ed (or of my country)
