About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Travel as much as I can, for as long as I can.

ABOUT ME

My name is Tess. I have such an intense wanderlust, that half the time I find myself walking down the street with the urge to pack my bags and go to a country I've never been before. I'm extremely silly, and fluent in Sarcasm (expert level). I'm a whiskey enthusiast and passionate bibliophile. If you ever want to talk about books with someone, I'm your gal. I can do it for hours.

Though I work in publishing for my day job, I moonlight as a food and travel blogger. I am enthusiastic and love to meet new people and go on all sorts of new adventures.

I love going on trips based solely on spontaneity and meeting new people along the way. I don't bite, so don't be afraid to say hello!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only used CS once or twice in my travels, and have had a lovely experience each time. Now that I've finally graduated college, though, I will be traveling more and hope to experience CS and all that it has to offer

Music, Movies, and Books

As mentioned before, anything Fitzgerald or Hemingway. Chuck Palahniuck. Kurt Vonnegat, Vladimir Nabokov, etc. Honestly, anything I can get my hands on. Also, I'm a big Harry Potter nerd (and proud).

I watch too many movies and am that cliche girl who likes "everything" when it comes to music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I've done a lot of amazing things in my travels but my favorite story to tell is when I went to Barcelona completely by myself to meet up with a long lost love and got stood up in the middle of a golf course where no one spoke a single word of English. That seems sad but it was a very valuable lesson to me and I spent the rest of my trip going on so many adventures because of that one experience.

Countries I’ve Visited
