About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore, learn, walk, talk, and have fun with as many people, cultures, and lanuages that I can find
ABOUT ME
I am traveling student from the University of Maine in America. I am currently studying abroad at l'Univerisité de Pau in Pau, Aquitaine, France until for the spring of 2013. While i'm a bit of a shy person a first I quickly warm up and I love to meet new people and try out my language skills. I am a quiet, nice, and courteous person and I always try my hardest to pick up after myself and be as good a guest as possible. I love traveling a seeing new things, I am normally not the kind of person to sit in a room all day. I love to be active during the day, hiking, touristing, dancing, swimming, and seeing what another culture has to offer!
PHILOSOPHY
I haven't honestly given to much thought to the matter, though maybe I should. I try to live by the golden rule most of the time ( Do unto others as you would have then do unto you)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I unfortunately right now not able to offer a bed myself to other couchsurfers do that I live in a tiny studio apartment with only a hard floor to offer for crashing. I hope that once I get a bit more situated in Life that I can give back to the community and to those who are in my current situation.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a newbie to this form of traveling. While I do have traveling experience I have just recently heard of this new way to travel from friends who love the idea! So I hope to give it a go and see if it works out well!
Interests
One of my great loves in life in rowing, I rowed in high school and then continued on into college and at my local rowing club. i also love horseback riding, running, tennis, soccer (watching), just walking is one of my great loves. I am really into photography and especially of nature and all the great places that I am finding on my travels. Also I'm an avid reader and I love finding all the unknown nooks of a city that aren't shown by the guides.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a fan of lots of different types of music more leaning towards indie, rock, classic rock, and classical. I'm normally pretty much up for anything. Since i've been in europe I've been cut off from most of my favorite tv shows: Supernatural, elementary, how i met your mother, and many more. Books, way to long of a list but ranges from Harry potter - Of Mice and Men
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few years ago I took a trip out to Western America and for a month drove from one national park to another. Starting with the Grand Canyon and ending with Yellow Stone national Park. We did a huge hiking trip at all of the national parks that we came across on the way. It was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the major things that I really think that traveling and couchsurfing can help me learn is language! On top of that there is so much more to learn from meeting local people rather than just sticking to tourists! I think that even small interactions with other people can really be a great insight into another culture.
