Overview
About Me
Hello fellow travellers! I'm a nurse from Melbourne, Australia. For the past two years I have been dividing my time between Melbourne and central Australia, where I work on the aboriginal Anangu Pitjantjatjara lands near Uluru (also known as the middle of nowhere!). As well as this I have also been out in the big wide world, trying to see as much as I can. I have the travel bug badly!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet some amazing people from around the world and get a feel for their everyday life
Interests
Hiking, reading, cooking. I get interested in the most random subjects.... I love watching documentaries and learning new things! At the moment I'm loving documentaries on astrophysics - next week it'll be something else, I'm sure!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - anything! My personal tastes involve alt rock (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Black Keys) but I have been known to rock out to Cambodian pop (it was karaoke night in Phnom Penh.....)
Books - I love Kurt Vonnegut, Charlotte Brontë and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, just to name a few authors.
Movies - my two favorites are Amelie and Frida (big Frida Kahlo fan)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking through eastern Nepal with my younger brother and seeing Mt Everest.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will soak up anything you have to teach! I love when people are passionate about something - anything - and want to share that.
As for what I can teach you... A few words in Pitjantjajara (an Australian Aboriginal language), how to treat a snakebite, the best way to eat kangaroo, how to look after a baby wombat (seriously, I did this for two weeks. There's a photo of me and 'Pete' on my profile!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Smiles, good conversation and a 'why not?' kinda attitude :)
Also a place to stay in return.... when I get a place, that is!
