Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Switching off the light by just staring at it.
Raising my daughter so she gets smart and strong.
ABOUT ME
Traveling and sharing are the best ways to create a more peaceful world, where one can understand each other and forget about prejudice.
I have been here and there, and i'm not done yet.
PHILOSOPHY
Always do what you feel you have to do whenever and wherever. Life must not be a succession of constraints but of personal choices and pleasures.
Freedom, equalty and solidarity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Living in Maastricht (Netherlands) from September 2008 to June 2009, i hosted quite a few people because i was living in a big place, and i met a lot of couchsurfers. When I had the opportunity to travel, I trusted this network to make my trips unforgetable.
Then i moved back to Rennes, hosted in St Etienne, in Nantes, in Paris and now in Tours (St Pierre des Corps). I happen to travel a lot in France because of my work (welfare institutions), and always show up in new cities with stories to share !
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
More than 10 years on Couchsurfing, mainly hosting, i have now good friends all around the world. I already couchsurfed in Chile, Turkey, France, Colombia, Netherlands, and always had a nice time !
Interests
Fond of literature (Tahar Ben Jelloun, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, André Gide, Honoré de Balzac, Ernest Hemingway, Isabel Allende, Paul Auster, Milan Kundera, Pablo Neruda, Luis Sepulveda, Jorge Amado, Yasmina Khadra, Arto Paasilina, Haruki Murakami, Ernest Hemingway, Colette...), cinema, french comics (bandes dessinées), kayak, trekking, running, swimming, surfing...
I like to go out and get up early, talk about politics, environment or useless things (mainly), cook, look at a fire for hours, share a drink with my friends, ride my bike through the city...
My wife and daughter, friends, family and job are also part of this speed-passionned life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music : from Rap and RnB to gospels and classic music, with a touch of reggae, electro, deep wave... Spotify helps a lot, your taste could be mine as long as you help me with discovering new music and trends.
Movies : Almodovar, Kusturica, Woody Allen, Stanley Kubrick, Sean Penn, Ken Loach, Steven Spielberg...
Books : too many to just tell a single one, I'm a real "bookeater" (maybe 50 a year ?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a gift of ubiquity : part of my personality is incorporated in my yucca, which permits me to be in 2 places at the same time. Of course the yucca doesn't talk, nor can it moves, but still...
=> Update ! it is not a yucca anymore, but a giant papyrus !
=> Re Update : Ophélie is a lemon tree !
Worked for mapuches' rights in the south of Chile. Saw the national park of Huerquehue and its amazing lake across the mountains.
My mom's tomatoes in summer.
Saw the most beautiful sunset twice in my life : on the Titicaca Lake (Sun Island) and on Patara beach (Turkey).
Swum with humpback whales on La Reunion Island
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you around the dark or bright side of the city or the Loire Valley, as you wish, and give you some tips to visit the region.
Let's share a meal and some songs.
I recently began to dive and enjoyed it ! (1st level)
Maybe you can help me to cross a few lignes off my bucket List ?
