CURRENT MISSION

I am deeply sorry to announce to my friends on CS that I had a terrible accident in the beginning of January, and I spent three months in the hospital with meds and machines to make me survive. But, life still goes on... I have absolutely no sequels. I feel like I were another guy. My current mission is now to love, love, and love till I day because I would have loved too much.

Sorry also for not having replied to any message. I wasn't in the mood for it, you'll understand...

I wish you all the best to all of us. Let's prepare some tremendous travels together ! Hugo.

ABOUT ME

I don't really know how to describe myself, I'm quite spontaneous, talkative, curious, and open-minded I think¦tolerance and caring about others are very important for me. I'm French (from Paris) but I have some Dutch and German) originsæI always try to make most of everything in a very personal way by enjoying life with a good sense of humor!

PHILOSOPHY

I do n¢t really know whether I have a personal philosophy or not: but I’m trying to tell myself that life is wonderful, short and full of surprises…I’d like to change the world but first I think it’s important to change the idea we have of it…being happy, confronting other people and ideas, travelling, discovering, wondering... My father used to tell me: tree have high branches, but also deep roots: so go as far as you can witout hurting where you come from.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host people for the moment, but I can make everyone discover Paris, where I was born, as well as the suburbs and Île-de-France (Fontainebleau, Versailles, Provins...) And I have hosted many people when I had my own flat in the centre of Paris. It's all about exchange ! Though, now, I cannot host anymore....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had quite a lot of couch-surfing experience. I hosted a lot of people from all over the world while I was still a student, precisely with CS. And I was hosted in Stockholm, Madrid, Rome...

Lots of things ! I'm especially interested in politics, literature, people in general¦but everything can become interesting for me if someone makes me get interested into it (which is not very difficult)

I also like philosophy, cities, mountains, rain, summer, trains, cats and winter¦

veA lot! To cut a long story short: in literature, Dostoïevski, Hermann Hesse, Rilke, Bonnefoy, Marguerite Duras, Oscar Wilde etc etc

Music, a bit of all: from hard core to classic music (special attention for Debussy, Tchaïkovski and Schubert) pop-rock, jazz (Coltrane, Jarrett...) or trip-hop (Massive Attack, Tricky), l'électro (de Björk au Drum&Bass) or old school hip-hop (like the Beastie Boys).
I love movies but I’m not very literate in this field. Anyway I’m found of Pasolini and Kubrick.

impossible to note down everyhting…but I tell myself that every single thing, no matter what size, can be extra-ordinary..it all depends on the look we have on it.
