CURRENT MISSION
To take to the open road
ABOUT ME
I like cookies. Especially of the gluten-free variety. I think Alain de Botton is amazingly brilliant. I hike, run, walk, frisbee, read, cook, kiss, opine, strive, yoga, meditate, laugh. I do NOT wear high heels or makeup or designer clothes, gossip, eat meat, suffer fools, or tolerate stinky houseguests (take note of that one, guys).
PHILOSOPHY
Forgive me for quoting, but all I can say has already been said, and said better: "I was born lost and take no pleasure in being found." (John Steinbeck). And "Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing it is not fish they are after." (Thoreau)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I traveled from Kalamazoo to LA to Vancouver and back to Michigan on a solo road trip, staying with friends, friends of friends, and couchsurfers/freeloaders. It has been an amazing experience - undoubtedly, this is the best way to travel. I've been hosting in LA for a year to mixed success - usually great, especially if guests have showered first.
