ABOUT ME

I like to travel, see beautiful things and meet new people from different places in the world. I like to learn new things about different cultures, because it makes the world smaller and people more understanding. I'm an optimist, a socialist and a believer of the fact that we can make the world a better place! And at the top of this, I'm always looking for a way to do the things I want to do. I don't think my wheelchair likes that, but I don't care. When you want something, a lot is possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to surf on people couches, but I love to offer mine too!
I really enjoyed the Atlanta and Chicago couch crashes, met amazing people and I hope we will meet again .

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I couchsurfed was surfing my rondtrip through scandinavia. I got the tip from a nice girl in a hostel, the best tip she could ever give me! I surfed at the most wonderful places and with wonderful people. My travel was much nicer because of them because I learned and experienced much more then a "normal tourist".

Interests

I like to talk about almost everything and learn new things. I'm really interested in different cultures, so we'll probably something to talk about! I love to take pictures and I really want to get better every time I take them. I like to cook new things (and eat them as well ;)). Oh yeah, and I'm interested in everything which involves the human body, neurology and smart wearables.
I swim a lot and handbike through Amsterdam.
I probably forgot a ton of things I'm interested in, but you'll figure that out when you meet me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The midnight sun in Rovaniemi
Trainright between Bodo and Trondheim, passing the arctic circle at an altitude of 700m under the midnight sun
The rainforest in Suriname
Crowdsurfing at the Sizget festival during the Kaiser Chiefs (with thanks to my friends who didn't told me their plan to lift me up)
Ghana; and especially the little village where people farm cocoa.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn from you whatever you can teach me! I love to learn little habits from your culture.
I can share my knowlegde about neurology and rehabilidation, show you how to do a wheely in a wheelchair, and teach cook Dutch foot.
