About Me

**NOTE: AT THIS TIME, WE ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO HOST ON THE WEEKENDS (FRIDAY - SUNDAY)**

CURRENT MISSION

In search of new adventures, capture how food plays a role in communities

ABOUT ME

My boyfriend Matt and I took a year sabbatical to travel around the world. We went to South America for four months, and now onto South East Asia and Eastern Europe. We met so many amazing people, and it's our turn to pay it forward :)

We are most excited to learn more about the culture and meet people during our travels. We are both clean, don't smoke and travel light. We are looking for a place to sleep, and would love local tips on the place if you have time. I (Amanda) worked as a dinner chef at Nicaraguan surf camp - would love to cook a meal in exchange for a place to sleep.

We are working on a few projects:

We Began - capturing the stories of how couples meet, from both perspectives. www.webegan.wordpress.com (Would love your story!!)

Communeaty - travel blog and eventually exploring how food plays a role in communeaties. www.communeaty.org

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are excited to be active members of the couchsurfing community. We are only home on the weekends, sorry we can't host during the week! We live a block away from the beach and walking distance to downtown Hermosa Beach. This is the perfect getaway near Los Angeles! We are normally busy in the mornings, but look forward to hanging out in the afternoons! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has hands-down been the best experience we've in our travels. The people that we are able to meet bring color and life to the beautiful places we have been.
