I'm 28 years old and I've been living in Vancouver for almost 4 years. In that time I have travelled around BC a bit, the US as well as New Zealand, Australia and done some sailing in Europe and the Caribbean. Before that I have travelled around Europe and SE Asia a bit and I have done quite a bit of travelling around my home country of Ireland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted surfers before when I was living in Cork, Ireland and had great experiences. It was my roommates account so I don't have any references but I am setting up my own account now that I am based in BC because I have noticed how much couch surfing is growing and I keep hearing great stories from friends and I want to get back involved in this wonderful community!

Interests

I'm a gardener so I'm into plants. I also play poker. I love to learn and improve myself. I'm fascinated by humans, life and this situation that we all find ourselves in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Last night I kept waking up to a bunch of noisy seagulls perched on my friends rooftop so I put in my earphones and put on some Hammock. Books: I was volunteering at a festival last week and a wonderful lady called Karen gave me a book of Rumi poetry so that's what I'm reading right now. Movies: I usually try to watch the most nominated and talked about movies each year and this year my favourite was The Florida Project, followed closely by Call Me By Your Name
