ABOUT ME

Raised in small-town Kentucky, I have grown to appreciate friendly people and communities where strangers look each other in the eyes and wave to acknowledge one another's presence. I just completed my undergraduate degree and am moving to Portland, ME mostly on a whim. My work is in outdoor recreation, mostly ropes, but also paddling, hiking or backpacking. Since that hasn't really paid all the bills I've been working for a small pizzeria.

Pretty much nothing as of yet. When I settle down at the end of the summer I can host. Until then, I have a need for surfing...

Interests

Active outdoor pursuits. Additionally, education and pedagogy, home cooking, dive bars, and unique things lovingly crafted by hand. Old buildings, homes with transom windows, ivy creeping up brick, gardens, Appalachia and The South. Fall colors. People that are either warm or honest, or both.
