About Me
ABOUT ME
I like to think of myself as easy going and easy to get along with. I really enjoy sports of all kinds and learning absolutely anything new about a different culture.
PHILOSOPHY
I am at the point in my life where I am starting to have all of the stereotypical life advice validated. Specifically that money isn't everything and you have to do what makes you happy. I learn more and more every day that I would rather be broke and doing something that I love than sitting in an office staring a clock just to make money.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed a few times and met a lot of people at meetings. My living situation is currently in flux so I cannot promise that I will be able to host anytime soon but I will be attending a lot of meetings in the near future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couch surfed through Europe for a month and met a plethora of amazing people. I have made friends who were kind enough to host me and friends that I just met at a few meetings. The ones that I enjoyed the most were the people with pride and knowledge of their city and the ones willing to show you around and act as a guide.
Interests
My focus throughout school was to study the environment, therefore I am a bit of an environmentalist. I stick mainly to the science portion instead of the social or political side but anything that involves science like biology, ecology, chemistry, and others intrigue me and I love to study them.
I absolutely love competition. Any sport or game of skill intrigues me. I mostly enjoy skiing, tennis, volleyball, and basketball but I like to think of myself as versatile enough to do anything at a decent level.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies, but I am in no way an expert on them. Music, however, is one of the most important parts of my life. It defines the mood I am in and depending on the setting, can completely change my mindset. I am not one of those people who says that they will like anything because my music taste is very specific. If I can get something out of the music then I will like it but I very rarely like something the first time I hear it. You could call me a music snob, but I prefer to think of myself as having selective taste.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To date, the most amazing thing that I have done was in Guatemala. I volunteered as a backpacking guide at a non-profit organization called Quetzaltrekkers. I led hikes of up to 6 days through the Guatemalan countryside to support underprivileged children from the surrounding areas. I met the most amazing people and the children were so great that I extended my stay another 2 months to continue volunteering with them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I volunteer at a hispanic center in Cincinnati to teach english, math, and science courses to new spanish immigrants.
