ABOUT ME

We are a transylvanian couple living in Budapest, studying, working, travelling, having parties and good conversation not only with each other :P, but with friends from all over the world...so always doing something, at least exploring the city. It is very interesting, so if you want to join us, you are welcome.

Emese is a Ph.D student at the University of Corvinus, at Sociology. I am a toursit guide and tour operator at a little local travel agency. We both love what we are doing, also we like traveling, meet new people, new cultures. We would like to discover not only cities and places, but we want to see the real "face" of them, want to feel the vibration of a city, the energy of a place.

We like to watch and learn, about almost everything. We like to talk about politics (since our situation as transylvanian (Romanian) Hungarians is a little bit difficult, so the politics is almost an every day topic), music, ideas, activities, sports, cultures, books, people, interesting stories, interesting places, so about anything :).

We like very much playing board and card games. But the really good time are, when we are out with friends in a pub, or when we travel together with friends or have a hike in the Carpathian mountains. These things are vital in our life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about this community some years ago. I tried, hosted lot of good people in my hometown (Marosvásárhely, Transylvania). From this year, October we will try the other side of the couch surfing...we will be the surfers :D. Especially Emese is very excited :P. Me too :D. We will give you the feedback when we arrive back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I am the host, the city guide, the explorer and the good(drinking or chating)friend in one person...those days are amazing. There was/are so many fantastic moments, which I never forget. Thanks to CouchSurfings :).

Movies: American Beauty, Shawshank Redemtion, The Longest Yard, Sex and the City (Emese)

Music: AC/DC is the number one, but we love the Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Guns'n Roses, U2, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Bony Tyler, Vaya con Dios, a bunch of Hungarian and Romanian rock and folk bands.

Books: Svejk by Jeroslav Hasek, Tóték by Örkény, The unbearable lightness of being by Kundera.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In a very cloudy morning in the Carpathians (2500 m altitude) a very strong wind started to blow. The clouds came against us very fast and we just stood there, on the top of the mountain,waited what's gonna happen. And in a moment the clouds are gone (the were at the other part of the mountain) and the weather tuned out shiny, hot and clean. And view was spectacular, we saw the whole South Carpathians, huge mountains, forests and little villages. That is the moment, I never forget.
