Hello, there! I'm Thainá, a brazilian law student who is going to study at the University of Coimbra for about 6 months (the first semester of 2018). Through my carreer, I intend to one day be able to provide affordable legal assistence to marginalized communities in my hometown.

I'm easygoing, talkative (although my english is kinda rusty) and completely passionate about dogs (nothing against the cat team! haha), beaches and goat vídeos. 🤘 Besides, I enjoy spending my time watching series/movies, reading, going out and getting to know new people and places. :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love to meet new places, going out day or night, and meeting new people. Cliché, right? However, it's no rubbish! As I'll be living in Portugal from january to july (2018), now I intent to get to know a bit of Europe. I don't care about any luxuries, and I really enjoy knowing more about the people I meet and the places I go to, the plainer it seems for anyone. I love to learn from anything, be it a famous historical monument, the street the host lives in, or the local bar where people meet in the weekend.

I've tryied to learn how to play ukulele and the guitar several times during my 22 years, but had no sucess. My current hobby is embroidery, but I swear I didn't lie about my age (no, I'm not 98 years old! haha)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies:
For me, the best movie ever is "O auto da compadecida", a comedy that takes place in the Northwest of Brazil. Althoug, my favorite genre is animation.
Bonus: Some people say it's too predictable, but I still love the movie "About time".

Series:
Friends (and I'm probably the only one who loved Joey and Rachel as a couple. haha), Black Mirror, Modern Family, Grace and Frankie, Lucifer, Designated Survivor, Prison Break, Gilmore Girls, and the list goes on.

Music:
I do not listen to it frequently, for no good reason. However, I really enjoy brazilian artists such as Geraldo Azevedo, Alceu Valença, Lirinha, Caetano Veloso and Pitty. I also like the bands Coldplay, Nirvana, Guns, Snow Patrol, SOAD and others that didn't come to my mind right now.

Books:
"Toda Poesia", wich is a book of poetry written by Paulo Leminski; and the Harry Potter collection (I can't describe just how much I love the illustrated editions!).

Update:
° Slept on the street in Porto during winter. Some can say that the Portugal's winter os not that challenging... But I'm Brazilian, and in my hometown 22°C is already considered freaking-cold-lets-all-use-jackets-warm-socks-and-carry-umbrellas. I feel like a survivor. hahaha
° Couchsurfed for the 1st time in London (Jan 2018), and ended up doing the best supermarket tour and the worst microwave pizza with a great host.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I am more than willing to help in whatever I can! I don't like to be a burden, so I will do my best to minimize the work of my host - and, if possible, help her/him in whatever she/he needs. I can't cook, but I certainly can do the dishes and clean whatever is needed. If I don't know how to do something, you can be sure I'll try to compensate with something else. In the same way that I intend to take good memories home, I also want to leave a good memory to the person that kindly gave me a sweet sweet home.
