About Me

I was born in a city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was raised around the beach and much love. In 2017, I started to study Journalism, at a public university that is also located in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Now I'm on the third year of graduation. The whole process has the during of four years.

At a certain time, I realised the opportunity to come to Europe by an international program of my university. So, for my lucky, I got it and now I'm doing a study trip in Portugal (Erasmus), more especifically at Porto, since September (2019).

Some curiosities about me are that I did ballet during 10 years, so I'm a pretty good dancer haha and love to shake with all kinds of music; and I'm vegan and really enjoy to cook, but just food without animals haha. Of course, I love all of them. So if you have a pet at home, it will be a pleasure to enjoy the time with it.

As a future journalist, I love to read and keep me informed about the news of my country. Now I'm trying really hard to learn about the international field too. I like series but the movies are my favorites because of my new little passion for cinema (I'm not an expert, let me noticed you haha).

All of the other things you can know maybe meeting me hahah! I'm a real good talker, promise :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new people and learnd much more about the ways they live aorund their cultures.

As a foreigner student, I'm trying to get all of the opportunities. So I'm organizing some low cost trips and the places to stay are always a big problem. Besides that, I think that it's going to be a good way to practice my English, that is not that good.

Unfortunately I can't offer my home for other people stayings because it's not mine at all and visits are not allowed :(

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love brazilian musics of the gender MPB, like the singers Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Gilberto Gil and the band Novos Baianos. Some new artists too, as MC Tha, Jaloo, Duda Beat and Xênia França, who are not that famous. I also enjoy very much funk and samba songs! In the international field I like Jorja Smith, Kali Uchis, Tyler and Daniel Caesar, but I'm very ecletcic and listen to all kinds of music. A very special song for me is Elephant Gun, from Beirut.

My favorite movies are Tatuagem (2013) - a brazilian drama that it can be translated as "Tattoo" -, Get Out (2017) and Dreams (1990), from Akira Kurosawa. A serie I'm following now and enjoying a lot is The Handmaid's Tale.

I like journalist books in general but when I was little The Advantages of Being Invisible and Anne Frank's Diary were books that helped me to grow and understand the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that my student trip is one of the most important things that I conquered. They analyzed my grades in college and the academic achievement in general to choose the selected ones.

In this same period, I helped my mother to come back to studies and she couldn't pass on college. This was really cool!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to do vegan recipes and, of course, help with portuguese. I'm a very good dancer too and worked as a ballet teacher during one year.

My english is not very good, so I wanna change that. But my biggest propose is to learn the different visions of our world by different cultures. So I wanna learn what the locals have to offer me.

I can share moments and smiles!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Brazilian culture, my opinions about my country and what is happening there now. I can show our dances, foods and principal artists that people usually don't know.

My propose is to be a really kind visit and also can have good experiences at the streets of the city that I will stay.

Countries I’ve Visited
