ABOUT ME

As a brazilian singer says: "I prefer to be a walking metamorphosis than having that old opinion about everything." So I'm always opened to new things, new thoughts, new visions. I like to learn, and that's make me interested in listen and meet other people. Everyone has a history and I just love to hear that! As a psychology I don't see it just as a profession, but a way of living my life.
But, at the same time that I like philosophy, meditation, going deep on the human soul, I like to say silly things, play with my friends, going out and drink and dance all night long.
So for me living is having balance: Sometimes doing stupid things, other times doing very nice and human things, always being pushed on this child's swing, that I call life.

PHILOSOPHY

There's only hard questions here, I'm almost crying... Just kidding. Joseph Campbell tell us about the hero's journey, and he calls it the monomyith. The greatest thing about it is that the hero, the one who goes through iniciations, who don't have fear to face the dragons and monsters (there's a lot of those creepy criatures inside of us), who is heady for the adventure, the one who goes to a strange land and find strange criatures, make friends, and partners. And after all, after he done all his job, everything that he passed through was not for his ego, he's own glory, it was in benefit of the other people, of the world. David Bowie sings that we can be heroes just for on day, and I really believe that. So I think that we all can be and have to be a hero, and face all the hardest things in life for the purpose of making the world a better place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted at Barcelona, Paris, Lisbon, Athens and Istanbul. There's just one year that I live alone so I've hosted only one person, and I loved the experience and want to host some more.
The best thing on CS is making friends that last. My first host, in Barcelona, hosted me again for one night at Istanbul, after 3 years!!! The guy who I've hosted here, he was very kind to me in Paris, one year before. That's the greatest thing, travel, see how the world is so big and diferent, but the kindness, the friendship, make it smaller, and confortable, and don't matter where you are or with who you are, if you have love in your heart you'll receive it back.

Interests

I just love studying: Psychology, old myths, Jung, Freud, antropology, about religions and all the kind of thing that talks about the meaning of beeing a man. I like dancing, I do belly dance and flamenco. I like buddhism and meditation, and sometimes I go to spiritual retreat. But at the same time I like parties, going out to drink and have fun (a lot of fun) with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like brazillian music as Bossa Nova, MPB. Love arabic music, sufi music. Love the good and old rock n' roll.
Books, I just love them, just don't like romances (I like it so much that's easier to talk about what I don't like). And films too, I don't like romances and terror (I don't know how any one can pay to feel fear, but ok, I respect them). =D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Born, it was not easy, there was a lot of competition and I won. After that I was locked 9 months on a dark, wet and tight belly. Ok, after that I did a lot of amazing things, as travelling almost 2 months on Europe, go to a ritual with native people, write a book (I'm still doing that), go to Egypt and laying down on the King's tomb (the security guy went crazy). OMG now there's a lot of flash backs on my mind, and there's some histories that I just can tell when we became friends, because I feel really ashamed of them (but they're the best ones).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to do some magic portion above the moonlight... Just kidding again. I know a lot about religions, I've drank ayahuasca with native people. I can teach you how to dance, anything you want to. I can tell you old histories and myths about the old times. Make a good caipirinha, that's a wonderful thing that i'll have to teach you.
