Über mich
Let’s change a little bit here and there to be presentable to my fellow surfers - even though I’m awful at talking about myself. But I must start with an important information: I'm travelling with my boyfriend - and he is on Couch Surfing! Check him out: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/evalds-rieksts.
I’m from Brasil and I’m deeply proud of it. I hate stereotypes and surfing allows you to break all of that pre conceptual thoughts about cultures and realities. And I love to show you around (even if it’s in my speech) and break all this thoughts that were once build up by media and bad information - and also shitty history books. It is important to value people and their experiences and particularities, the biggest truth is that we are all different but could be connected in some ways. Get out of the bubble and let the new one in. I will talk a lot with you, I will share a lot, I’m a very open person going through a very deep transformation from the inside. Seeing life in different groups of movement.
I like to be straight forward and objective (when I can, because Goddess knows how I’m not) about my requests. I think it’s important to be truthful and deliver the most important information at first contact . Maybe it’s an advertising thing, since I work with it. Please, read my profile and check out my husband-boyfriend’s one - we have a crazy love story to tell you.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I'm travelling with my boyfriend: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/evalds-rieksts - whom I met on my last trip to the States, when I reactivated my profile here. He is from Latvia (yes, I also wondered) and he is also on couchsurfing. We've been living together for a year and a half now, in São Paulo. This summer we decided to meet his family. But before we get there (such a responsibility), we are planning to do some eurotrip and visit some friends, but also to meet new ones. We are extremely cool, relax, diverse couple, we also like to drink and chat all night long, and we like to meet new cultures, talk about philosophy and politics. We love animals and we both like to explore every inch of a new city.
Interessen
Music (loads of them: rock n' roll, rockabilly, samba, coco, heavy metal, folk, blues, jazz, goth and so on), travelling, food, food, food, get to know and study other cultures. Volunteer at Amnesty International and dreaming of work at UN Agency for Refugees. Oh, did I say I love food, cooking and eating? He is a vegan and extremely good cooker!

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Lots...usually I listen to rock n' roll, some indie rock, some grunge, blues, jazz, samba, samba rock, maracatu, classical. But I must say that now, dark/cold/new wave and punk are my favorites, full filling my heart at the moment. Got back to my dark revolutionary side.
Don't need to say about movies and series - I'm a freak. Totally in love with old movies, specially from the 80's...I love everything from the 80's. And dark and horror and gore movies/series are kinda in my top ten. For the intellectual part I have my boyfriend, who loves documentary and profound stuff, like analyses and psychology and philosophy ald all that kind of a genius likes.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Exchange program in France where I met the most beautiful people in the world and realized that there is more to live and learn. But I think now, at this point of my life, Congo has been the most awesome thing I've ever done in my life. Living 8 months working with a crazy fellow and getting to truly live the whole culture experience, were both beautiful and hard - and also enlightening. There I knew that we don't actually know Africa and it's people, how wonderful and rich they really are. And how snobs we are when we try to impose our own way of living.
