About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn and share as much as possible

ABOUT ME

After a failed attempt at university studies, I spent four years traveling around the USA, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand and Hawai'i. I found myself in Austin about four years ago and haven't felt compelled to move on yet.

I enjoy community, open minds, magic, energy healing, positive communication, cooking, foraging/learning about wild edibles, massage, energy work, gardening, hiking, meditating, permaculture, gardening, herbal medicine, cooking and so forth.

I feel comfortable with most everyone and tend to get along with people from all walks of life.

I have varied interests and my views on everything are always changing.

PHILOSOPHY

Why not be happy and experience wonder?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've told people about it. I try to be a great surfer when I end up on someone's couch and I try to be a great host when I put someone up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed with great people in St Louis, Melbourne, and Alaska. Always had a super time!

I've met for coffee with folks in Delaware, Vermont, Melbourne, Sydney, and Hawai'i.

I've slept on lots of random couchs, floors, car backseats, beds, etc. Hitchhiking opens up lots of options!

Interests

gardening, nature, music, reiki, hitchhiking, letting the universe take care of me, manifestations, collecting music on my hard drive from everyone I meet, cooking, sustainability (although a bit hard on the road), animals, meditation, massage, naturalism, festivals, WWOOFing, people watching, intentional communities, backpacker/vagabond travel, alternative medicine, camping/hiking, chill parties, dancing, cuddle puddles, attempting to eat healthy, attempting to reduce my impact by limiting consumption, caving, mind expansion, nice beer, whiskey, tequila (moderation), teas, essential oils, and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living my dream of traveling without deadlines. I spent four years going where I wanted as money allowed; working until the money or means appeared.

Catching a Cragislist ride on a converted flatbed/school bus from NYC to FL was a highlight. Even if we broke down three times and never technically made it to our destination. Breaking down in Daytona Beach during full swing of Bike Week is interesting.

Working/volunteering at so many amazing music festivals. And only paying for transport and food! Ground scores.

Working on so many amazing farms. One crazy thing I've done is ate raw ram kidney. I was watching when a farm I lived at was slaughtering the ram and a raw foodist there wanted to eat the kidneys. I took a few bites, not bad. I felt pretty good afterward.

Hitchhiking around NZ solo. Tough and beautiful. Refilled my faith in flowing with the universe.

Being picked up by a women in NZ who took me home for the night. She drove me out to a little-known site for intense glow-worms. It was like walking in the stars - amazing.
