About Me

CURRENT MISSION

studying?? WTF

ABOUT ME

Hey you open-minded people! I am a 26 year old adventurous and open-minded student from Germany. I love travelling and getting into contact with people of different cultures, races and nationalities. I love visiting new places on this beautiful (and sometimes scary) planet. :)
I recently got my bachelor degree in media and communication studies but I don't see myself as a very smart person because of my "academical" education. I wanna study life and everything that goes beyond. I wanna take a look behind the curtains and all this superficialness we are confronted with every day. At first glance I might appear to be shy but when I am getting warm with a person I can talk for hours and hours - exchanging experiences and discussing important issues but also "less important" things.
I never take myself too serious though. I guess I sometimes got that very own and sarcastic humour of mine being able to laugh over myself. I am trying to take things not personal and I guess I am pretty successful with that kind of perspective. :) I am not one of those people who see themselves as a heroic world's saviour - I like discussing about political, social or economical significant problems - but not all the time. I guess you even could have a good laugh with me talking about the little and seemingly less important incidents of life. For example the sense and nonsense in having sex either with a mermaid with a fish head and a human body or with a mermaid with a human head and the body of a fish.
What da ya say, I guess "never say never" could be one of the credos I believe in....

PHILOSOPHY

Never say Never :)

Live and let live. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know where my feet lead me so it's practicable and exciting to have opportunities all over the world to have a sleep on your travels. For myself I will try to prepare my couch for you guys out there. I don't wanna seem like someone who wants to exploit your kindness. Giving and taking - I guess this is one of the world's biggest and most simple secrets to make a friends and the world to a better place. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am quite new to this but when travelling through Morocco we met a nice couch surfer who helped us organize our trip and taught us how to surf. I want more of this. :)

Interests

Soccer/Football, good movies, a good book, doin' some german rap music, partying, enjoying life, beer, making irrational decisions, travelling, making new experiences, overcoming fears, sleeping, loving, talking.... and so on :)
I guess most interests should come out in the "all about you" section :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow....now it's getting really hard. :)

Books: The Neverending Story, Life of Pi, Hitchhikers Guide through the Galaxy, The Shining, It, Le petit prince...

Movies: Fight Club, Memento, 12 Angry Men, Inception, The Shawshank Redemption, Lord of the Rings, The Shining, Memento, Inception, The Boondock Saints, Full Metal Jacket, Gran Torino, Starship Troopers, Into The Wild, Lammbock ....
Just to call a few of my favourite mainstream movies. There are also a lot of independent film productions I even prefer but I am not gonna list them here because most of you guys wouldn't know them. Just let me know: I am always keen on a good recommend for a good movie. :)
When it comes to music I would say that I listen to every music at least once because there is so much good and inspiring music which really doesn't have to do with its genre. I like high quality rap music (german, american, french spanish and so on) such as Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Mobb Deep, Ugly Duckling, Sound Providers, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Cunning Lynguists just to call a few. I am doin some german rap music myself, writing lyrics and stuff. Furtherone I like Jazz, goa and minimal, good Indie stuff, Metal, Reggae music, alternative and experimental sound of all genres. :) To cut a long story short, I don't like exchangeable pop music but I might like everything that's danceable, with inspirational lyrics or a nice groove :)
I'm listening to everything once, suprise me :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing alone somewhere in the Californian Desert on top of a mountain, closing my eyes and enjoying COMPLETE silence for minutes.
Watching the sunset on a dune in the Sahara.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to drink beer and to write some lyrics. I can also teach you how to kick some freestyle raps. :D
What I what to learn is (nearly) everything that is new to me - especially new inspirating music, cooking or new perspectives.
Sharing? Well, my flat, my fridge, my food, my experiences, my music.
