Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf and host equally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed with my good friend Willow Jon last Summer in Albuquerque, Columbia SC and Asheville NC, and more (lost count to be honest).

I've also couchsurfed with my kids during our many road trips over the past year, most recently in Boise.

I've hosted couch surfers informally for years before I knew about this site.

My favorite surfers were 5 backpackers I met at a live show in Seattle (Kila) ... 2 from US, 2 from Ireland and one from the Netherlands.

Still keep in touch with a few of them ... my car was so heavy with gear and humans, that I had to take a 'running start' to get up the hill to my apartment.

They painted me a watercolor as a Thank You card which I still have.

Interests

I really dig traveling off-the-grid, live music in small venues, swing dancing, late night conversations and being a dad to a road-tripping extraordinaire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been a single dad full-time to an 11-year old girl for over seven years now ... She's got a mild case of autism, and has taught me more about people than any other human, teacher or book.
