About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'll get back to you when I figure that out.
ABOUT ME
English major at the University of Chicago, originally from the Washington, DC area, and studying for a year at the University of Edinburgh. I'm an introvert who thrives on thinking about people and places and interacting with the world. I'd like to be a writer for film & television, so I'm trying to experience as much of the world as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
Wherever you are, be all there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Willing to host under the right circumstances. I have very limited space, however.
Interests
As far as traveling goes, my main priorities are relaxation and cheapness. I don't like itineraries, although I do like to have a sense of WHERE I'd like to be. I'd like to experience as much of the world as I can without trying too hard to do it. Sometimes "travel" gets in the way of travel, you know?

Music, Movies, and Books
For film and television, everything, with particular interest in science fiction, 90s teen comedies, period dramas, or really anything with compelling characters. I'm a Shakespeare nerd, and I love Joss Whedon.
As for music, I don't really listen to the radio. I prefer 70s and 80s punk, new wave, 90s radio, early 2000s alternative and emo, current low-fi and garage music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a very vivid memory of driving Independence Pass in Colorado. It was absolutely breathtaking. Actually, Colorado is possibly my favorite place to visit. My Aunt lives in Denver, so I've been to Buena Vista, Salida, Aspen, Boulder, Leadville, CO Springs, the Garden of the Gods...The mountains are breathtaking.
Recently I climbed Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. THAT was phenomenal.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sort of an expert on television, slightly less of an expert on current American politics, and I know how to make a damn good cup of coffee.
