About Me

I am a 24 year old full time chef, although that is soon to change as I plan to embark on a long travel to as many countries as possible. Cooking my way around the world while writing about all the places and food the people of the world have to offer.
Meeting new people, learning new things and sharing experiences from all cultures and walks of life is my main aim in life.
I have worked as a chef for 5 years now. My love for food increases the more I learn. A nice home cooked meal goes a very long way and is something I aim to do for anyone who comes to stay or is kind enough to host me in their home.

I love to garden, especially to grow my own fruit and vegetables I find it very rewarding to eat something that you have loved, grown and nurtured from start to finish.

I love the outdoors, Hiking, swimming, surfing, sailing. If it involve the outdoors, I will most likely enjoy it.
I hiked The Great Ocean Walk in Australia solo, but did meet a couple of great people along the way.

I am not a party animal. That phase of my life is long gone but I do enjoy a good night out with the right people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience the world from real peoples eyes. The people that live in the places I wish to visit are so very interesting and have lots to teach the world.
I love the idea of lots of travel hungry people all helping one another out and sharing tales from their lives.
I am ashamed to say that I have not hosted any CS members as of yet. I hope that will change when I move to a new house as the place I am living currently does not have the space to accommodate guests.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested in most things especially things I have little or no knowledge of, so am keen to learn.
I do, however, have a love of science, particularly ecology, geography and all things natural.

Music for me is subjective. I like almost all types but will never tell someone that there taste is music is wrong, everyone is entitled to like their own style of music.

Books for me need to be thought provoking or informative that being said my tastes are eclectic. From Bill Bryson to The lord of the rings, Russian classics like Tolstoy and Dostoevsky but also amusing and crazy things like Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. which I would have to say is No.1 on my list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo hiked The Great Ocean Walk with all the previsions needed for 15 days with little to no civilisation en route. ( no shops to resupply)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn Spanish, or Portuguese.
I want to learn to cook traditional dishes from all places around the world so doing that with the hosts would be a great reward for me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook them a meal as a thank you for hosting me.

Countries I’ve Visited
