About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Jump down whatever rabbit hole catches my eye.
ABOUT ME
"I want movement and not a calm course of existence. I want excitement and danger and the chance to sacrifice myself for my love. I feel in myself a superabundance of energy which finds no outlet in our quiet life."
i like conversations, individuals, and thoughts... i also enjoy getting lost in my spare time.
Most importantly, I just wanna see this world through my own lens, share my perspective with whoever asks, and see the world through other people's views if they'll be kind enough to let me.
PHILOSOPHY
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon... you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
There have been too many times in my life where I have lost my ATM card, ran out of water, stumbled, fallen, you name it, and at each point, there was someone there, in most cases a complete and utter stranger, to offer a helping hand.
I owe it to the world for stepping in and saving me at those points, and the least I can do is everything in my power to give back be it through hosting, showing people my hometown, planning crazy adventures, etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started out while back packing around the middle east, but my first time being hosted was in Slovakia. Lavinia and her friends provided the best cs experience i could have hoped for for my first time, and I became hooked after that. Since, I have hosted a bunch of people in DC, I've become engaged in the local cs community, and made great friends through it as a result.
For instance, I met Danny Tsai at a cs happy hour in DC, and we wound up going on all sorts of crazy adventures, including an epic road trip to new orleans for mardi gras, and I have plans to visit him in Jordan where he will be working for then next two years with the peace corps. What a great site to have connected us!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent about 2 months hitching around the Middle East/ Eastern Europe. I hitchhiked from Amman, Jordan to Istanbul, Turkey, and then back to Bait Sahor in Palestine where I stayed on a permaculture farm for a little less than a month, and then made my way back to the US on a bunch of flights through eastern europe on almost no money as my ATM card was eaten by an ATM machine.
Best time of my life.
I have also been to burning man two years in a row. Both rank among the second and third best times of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm open to learn anything anyone is willing to teach me.
I enjoy cooking and would gladly share some recipes i've collected with people, and I love story telling (the catch is you have to tell me a story if i tell you one!).
