About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never Cease Learning

ABOUT ME

I am gay and while my couch is currently not open, I am more than willing to say hello. I just moved to Managua to be an English literature teacher.

I love learning! Currently I am learning to play the piano and am training in Krav Maga. I am an avid reader, movie-watcher, and love to talk about food (a Louisiana affectation), religion, and politics (my degree background). Also a big fan of bourbon whisky and Scotch.

PHILOSOPHY

The Rules:

1.) Learn something about the world that you didn't know yesterday.
2.) Try to lessen someone else's burden daily.
3.) Never be a witness to ignorance, stupidity, or unfairness.
4.) Seek knowledge for knowledge's own sake.
5.) Suspect your own motives and all excuses.
6.) Do not entertain any proposition with greater assurance than the proofs it is built upon will warrant.
7.) Never try to be better than anyone else but yourself.

"If ignorance is bliss, than may I be the most miserable son of a bitch on the planet."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The number one most amazing moment of my life was when I was at the Catedral in Cholula, Mexico. I was with my best friend and his brother and sister. We were on a pyramid looking out across the town of Cholula flying kites while a gentle breeze came in and out. It was the most idyllic moment of my life. I laid on the grass and watched the kite soar higher and higher between two mountains. Since then, I've wanted to have experiences like these in every country I visit.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to discuss and inform on U.S. politics (and also pretty good in Turkish policy), religion and politics, astronomy, and literature.

There are very few topics that I am not interested in learning more about.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Turkey
